Compulsory School Days

Our official start of the academy day is 8:50am and our official end of the day is 3:15pm. This means that our pupils are in the academy for 6 hours and 25 minutes per day. Over a week, this totals 32 hours and 5 minutes per week.

Supervision

Teachers are on supervision duty from 8.50 am to 12.05pm, and for 5 minutes before and 10 minutes after the afternoon session. Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 teachers take their class outside for an afternoon break, weather permitting. All other classes will have a comfort break as required.  Non-teaching staff supervise at all other times between the start and end of the academy day.

Registration

Morning and afternoon lessons begin with registration. Registers ‘close’ and are sent to the academy office at 9.10am and 1.10pm. Children registered after this are ‘late’.
