Board of Governors
Our Board of Governors are volunteers who play an important part in setting the strategic direction of St John’s (CE) Primary Academy, ensuring we continue to raise standards and strive for excellence in everything that we do. All of the governors are passionate about improving the lives of every single young person and they are fully committed to supporting the school and pupil’s journey.
The three core strategic functions of the Board of Governors are to:
- Ensuring clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction;
- Holding the Principal to account for the educational performance of the school and its students, and the performance management of staff;
- Oversee the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well spent.
